Day Three

More stripping, starting to get excited about what lies beneath. Going from a big ugly blue mess...

...to a silver one...this has to be the flake coat.

But it's encouraging to begin to see the wood, I'm guessing and hoping it's mahogany. If the wood continues to look this good (someone painted this blue, still shaking my head)  I want to do a satin clear finish, maybe tung oil or something similar. Hand rubbed.

I'm planning a stealth guitar, low key, black matte hardware. Killer metal pickups. Continued tomorrow.
